The girl who sent the letter was Sheila and much to Ron’s surprise she responded to his letter and the duo began to chit chat with each other. Soon their casual talks bloomed into love. And in a matter of years, the couple tied the knot in 1942. They chose Esher, a southern England town to start their new life.
